Sculpture at Bathers Beach

In its biggest testament to homegrown talent Sculpture at Bathers returns from 25 February to 12 March 2017. It’s a showcase of over 80 of our most celebrated WA sculptors, delivering an unforgettable community cultural event, with plenty of amazing photo opportunities. A great outing for family and friends.

Catch Thomas de Munk Kerkmeer from 16-20 February as he works on his piece during an artist’s residency at Little Creatures Brewery and keep your eyes peeled for Shimmer, a mythical beast travelling Perth suburbs before arriving at Bathers Beach.

Sculpture at Bathers began in 2013 to tell the story of West Australian sculpture as a distinctively special practice. After two highly successful ‘free to the public’ exhibitions in 2013 and 2015, Sculpture at Bathers Inc is a small organisation with a big heart led by a dedicated group of artists, volunteers and philanthropists.

A wide net is cast to ensure a dynamic mix of artists, from those with a strong established reputation to fresh, emerging talent. Artists are invited to submit a work representing their best current practice.

The location, its intimacy and the history surrounding this unique event are unparalleled.
